Warehousing Traineeship

The Opportunity – 

Novaskill is currently partnered with a local business to offer a Warehousing Traineeship, including on-the-job training with ongoing mentoring and support to help you start building your career.

We’re looking for those looking to start their career!

You’ll be completing a nationally recognised Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations whilst gaining experience & developing relationships in the Warehousing Industry.

 

Learnings –

  • Move and relocate materials safely
  • Assess the risks involved with relocating loads
  • Plan and relocate materials and goods without damage
  • Understand the chain of responsibility
  • Ensure transport activities are completed safely Complete safety documentation

 

Qualifications & Experience –

  • Previous experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred
  • High attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload to meet competing deadlines
  • Punctual, reliable, professional and courteous
  • Good physical fitness with the ability to assist loading and unloading goods within safety guidelines
  • Basic computer skills across Google Workspace and Excel preferred but not essential
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Current White Card or willingness to obtain
  • Current Forklift Licence or Willingness to obtain

 

Tasks & Responsibilities –

  • Receiving and dispatch of goods
  • Order picking and packing
  • Project picking and packing
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Maintain the warehouse and work area to ensure it is kept to a neat and tidy standard at all times
  • Book couriers and undertake site deliveries
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed correctly
  • Assist the Sales Team when required
  • Assist the Service Team when required
  • Key Cutting

  • A nationally recognised qualification at Certificate III level
  • The confidence to complete safety documentation
  • Techniques to safely lift and handle goods or materials
