Welcome to the Novaskill community

We’re a leading workforce education provider, passionate about connecting people to a world of learning, jobs and personal development.

We’re a not-for-profit organisation that delivers training, recruitment, mentoring and apprenticeship management throughout our 8 Australian branches.

Our commitment and leadership to the provision of foundational workforce solutions has transformed clients, partners, students and employers, but most importantly has allowed us to achieve our mission to support communities by enriching people’s lives.

Novaskill’s story is one of development, re-imagining and new beginnings.

Established as Hunter Group Apprentices and later becoming Hunter Group Training (HGT), our organisation was founded as a result of the severe economic downturn in the Hunter region in the early 1980’s.

Our objective was to ensure young apprentices could continue on with their trade training by being hosted out to local employers so that when the economy improved, they would be able to continue with their trade.

In 2008, HGT was boldly rebranded as Novaskill, a name that has come to embody the progressive and innovative values we hold dearly.
