How can we help you find an apprenticeship or traineeship?

Looking for an apprenticeship or traineeship?

You’re in the right place!

Novaskill have been connecting job seekers and employers for over 40 years. We’re not a recruitment agency but rather what’s known as a “Group Training Organisation (GTO)”. What this means is that we (Novaskill) will employ you (the apprentice/trainee) and then you will be strategically matched with a local employer, where you will be hosted for the duration of your apprenticeship/traineeship.

  • You are allocated a dedicated Field Officer to help you with any issues or questions throughout the entire duration of your apprenticeship/traineeship
  • Your wage and all allowances are paid to you by our experienced payroll department, ensuring you’re paid the correct award rate from the start
  • We’re aware of all the potential government subsidies you may be eligible for and can help you apply for them
  • We take care of all paperwork to ensure nothing is missed or incorrect
  • We arrange all your TAFE/RTO enrolment and training, and then maintain contact with your teachers to ensure you stay on track
  • You will have the flexibility to rotate host employers (where possible) without jeopardising your apprenticeship/traineeship
  • Our specialist mentoring team can offer you assistance and support if times become tough

Kicking off your career with an apprenticeship is a great way to get a head start in the field you want to work in.

We can also help when you start looking for an apprenticeship or traineeship

In addition to all of the above benefits of partnering with us, we can also help you in the initial stages.

Starting an apprenticeship or traineeship is a big commitment, so it’s important you have all the right information to make a decision that’s right for you.

  • Provide you with as much information about your chosen trade/job as possible so you can be assured you’re making an informed career choice
  • Ensure you know what your obligations will be when you sign and agree to become an apprentice/trainee
  • Allow you to sit an aptitude test to confirm your level of knowledge matches what will be expected by TAFE/RTO to successfully complete training
  • Assist you with pre-employment medical checks
  • Assist you with the interview process with your potential host employer
  • Carefully match you with an employer that suits your needs and is close to your home
  • Offer indigenous Australian’s specialist support and assistance
