Tiling Apprenticeship – Wall & Floor Tiling (2nd or 3rd Year)
We’re partnered with a local business to offer a Wall and Floor Tiling Apprenticeship for 2nd or 3rd year apprentices, providing on-the-job training, mentoring, and support as you continue building your career.
You’ll complete your Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling while gaining hands-on experience with pool and landscape surrounds. No prior experience with pools or landscape surrounds is required – full training will be provided.
This role provides consistent work in all weather conditions and the opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive team environment.
About the Role
- As an apprentice, you’ll develop your technical expertise and work on a variety of projects, including:
- Preparing pool and outdoor surfaces for tiling
- Cutting, laying, and grouting tiles for pools and landscape surrounds
- Mixing and applying adhesives and grouts
- Carrying out general labouring, cleaning, and site preparation
- Following WHS practices and contributing as part of a team

What You’ll Learn
- Interpreting plans and preparing surfaces ready for tiling
- Measuring and calculating curved and complex work
- Developing mosaic and patterned tiling techniques
- Tiling challenging areas, including curved and uneven surfaces
- Confidently using wall and floor tiling equipment (diamond saws, grinders, laser levels, multi-tools, tile cutters)
- Achieving your Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling
What You’ll Need
- Good physical fitness for manual tasks (lifting tiles, kneeling, bending)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliability, commitment, and focus on safety
- Motivation to complete your studies while working
- Strong time management, communication, and attention to detail
- White Card or willingness to obtain (essential)
- Driver’s licence and reliable transport (essential)
