Part-time Trainer & Assessor – Flexible Hours – Meaningful Work

Are you an experienced aged care professional ready for your next purpose-driven role?

Step out of the workplace and into the classroom and help shape compassionate, skilled carers who will transform lives every day.

At Novaskill, your experience doesn’t matter, it multiplies.

About Us

Novaskill is a not-for-profit Registered Training Organisation with over 45 years of experience delivering vocational education from Northern NSW to the Central Coast.

Our mission is simple: enrich lives through education and career opportunity. Every student you train goes on to support real people in real communities, and that’s impact you can be proud of.

About the Role

We’re growing our Individual Support and Aged Care training team and are looking for passionate Trainers & Assessors to deliver:

  • CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support
  • CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support
  • CHC43121 Certificate IV in Disability

(if you’re qualified to train on other areas on our scope, we’d still love to hear from you!)

This part-time role offers flexible hours, community-based work, professional development and the support of a local mentor. Perfect if you want meaningful work without full-time burnout.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Deliver engaging training in classrooms, online and on-site
  • Conduct face-to-face assessments and student support visits
  • Manage a caseload of learners and tailor training to individual needs
  • Guide and mentor students through their vocational journey
  • Maintain compliance and high-quality training standards
  • Create a positive, supportive learning environment

About You

You’re a motivated and approachable professional with hands-on aged care experience and a genuine passion for supporting others to learn and grow. You hold a current Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent) and are confident delivering engaging, practical training that helps students build real-world skills. You thrive in a people-focused environment, communicate clearly, stay organised, and adapt your training style to suit a diverse range of learners. Above all, you’re committed to making a meaningful difference by shaping compassionate, capable aged care professionals.

What We Offer

At Novaskill we are dedicated to supporting our employees and creating a positive, collaborative work environment. During the festive season, you’ll enjoy 3 additional paid leave days between Christmas and New Year. Our senior leaders provide valuable mentorship to help elevate your career, while ongoing professional development opportunities are tailored to your growth. Plus, with paid volunteer leave, you can give back to the causes that matter most to you.
