The opportunity –
Novaskill, in partnership with Walcha Council, is thrilled to offer a Financial Services Traineeship. This is an exciting opportunity to gain practical experience in the financial sector while working towards a nationally recognised qualification. You’ll be collaborating with experienced professionals, gaining valuable skills and insight to advance your career in finance.
You’ll be completing a nationally recognised Certificate III in Financial Services whilst gaining experience and developing relationships in the industry.
Key responsibilities –
- Assist with daily financial operations and administrative tasks
- Support the preparation of financial reports and statements
- Maintain and update financial databases and records
- Process invoices and payments
- Handle general inquiries related to financial services
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Contribute to the preparation of tax and compliance documentation
Learning outcomes –
- Establish client relationships
- Negotiate and resolve disputes with clients and customers
- Produce workplace spreadsheets and documents for the finance sector
- Assess and address customer needs
- Develop and apply risk management strategies
- Determine appropriate solutions for clients and customers
About you –
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skill
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Enthusiastic about learning and developing a career in finance
