Construction Traineeship

The opportunity – 

Novaskill is excited to partner with a renowned and reputable business to off a Construction Traineeship. This opportunity includes hands-on training and ongoing mentoring from a supportive team committed to helping you build a successful career in the construction industry.

You’ll be completing a nationally recognised Certificate II in Construction whilst gaining practical experience and developing industry connections.

This traineeship provides a strong foundation for those looking to start a career in construction, with the potential to progress into a Certificate III in Concreting.

 

Learning outcomes –

• Read and interpret plans
• Carry out measurements and calculations
• Use construction tools and equipment
• Carry out concrete in simple forms
• Work in accordance with Work Health and Safety requirements

 

Course outcomes –

• The ability to construct small woodwork items such as stepping stools or a carry all toolbox
• Experience in placing and finishing concrete
• The confidence to use power tools
• A strong pathway to an apprenticeship

 

About you – 

• Energetic, punctual, and reliable
• Enthusiastic about developing hands-on skills in construction
• Demonstrate commitment to completing your study
• Willing to learn about all aspects of the construction industry
• Driver’s license and reliable transport is preferable
• Ability to work within a team and independently when needed
