Novaskill, together with some amazing local businesses, is offering multiple Carpentry Apprenticeships – and we want you on board! This is your chance to roll up your sleeves, learn from the best, and literally start building your career in construction.
With hands-on training, mentoring, and ongoing support, you’ll be completing a nationally recognised Certificate III in Carpentry while gaining real-world experience that will set you up for long-term success.
What You’ll Be Learning
- Read and interpret building plans (like a pro!).
- Pull things down (safely!) with general demolition skills.
- Install and replace windows and doors to give homes a fresh new look.
- Work with lining, paneling, moulding, and flooring systems.
- Build wall and ceiling frames, pitched roofs, eaves, and even timber stairs.

What You’ll Be Doing Day-to-Day
- Chatting with clients and keeping them in the loop.
- Updating the boss with job progress.
- Pitching in with the team (and smashing deadlines together).
- Working solo when needed (showing off your independence!).
- Measuring, cutting, and double-checking your work for quality.
