New Restrictions are now in place across all Novaskill branches

COVID-19 Update 28/6/2021

Following the State Governments announcement on Saturday (26 June, 2021), from today, Novaskill have implemented some additional precautions to ensure the health and safety of all our staff, students and visitors. As the health and wellbeing of our community continues to be a growing concern across our business’ footprint, the following changes will come into effect immediately.

STAY AT HOME ORDERS

Those living or working in a listed area, must stay home and isolate as per Government Guidelines.
This order will predominately affect the staff and students from our Central Coast branch. Where possible, staff and students living and working in this region will need to work from home. Please contact our office of your trainer for details and to ensure you have the access you require to work/study effectively from home. Further,

If a staff member or students has visited an identified exposure site in the last 14 days, they must notify us immediately to make working/study from home arrangements.

MASK WEARING

Masks are now compulsory for staff and students and need be worn at all times.
We understand this can sometimes be an inconvenience however it is essential that you protect yourself and those around you. There may be mask exemptions applicable for individual health reasons. If this is the case, please speak to your trainer directly.

Students who may be attending the branch can only do so if they are wearing a mask.

CLASSROOM DELIVERY

One person per 4 metre square now applies for all indoor activities.
Each Novaskill classroom (excluding Central Coast) will immediately reinstate the 1 per 4 square metre rule to meet social distancing requirements. If is it safe to do so, classes can resume in face-to-face delivery. Please contact us as soon as possible if you are unsure.

Students who are uncomfortable or unable to remain in a face to face classroom will need to be moved to a mixed-mode delivery until restrictions are eased or advised otherwise.

VISITORS TO THE BUSINESS

Limit on visitors to the branch and restrictions on branch inter-travel.

For the safety of all Novaskill staff and students, visitors are prohibited from attending a Novaskill office unless otherwise approved by Executive Management. Interbranch travel among staff will be strictly limited.

STUDENTS AND STAFF KITCHENS, RECEPTION AREAS AND COMMON ROOMS

We request that all staff and students refrain from using lunchrooms to eat and share lunch, and only use this area to prepare food and access facilities. Wherever possible, meetings should take place digitally in order to reduce staff numbers and meet social distancing requirements. This will remain in place until Friday, 9 July.

HEALTH & HYGIENE REMINDERS

To ensure the safety of all staff and students, you must comply with the following health and hygiene measures:

  • Maintain Social Distancing: We ask you to stay conscious of social distancing and maintain a 1.5 metres distance from other staff and students.
  • Temperature taking: for everyone’s safety, all staff and students are to have their temperature taken and recorded when entering the building.
  • Hand Sanitising: use the hand sanitiser made available to you at each opportunity. We also encourage you to wipe down your equipment each day, and avoid sharing equipment.
  • Most importantly: if you are feeling unwell at all or have any COVID-19 symptoms, are a close contact of someone with COVID-19, or have visited a location that the government has listed on its website indicating you may have been exposed to COVID-19, please stay home until you receive a negative test or served your isolation period as directed by New South Wales Department of Health.

Novaskill understands that restrictions can sometimes be overwhelming, therefore we encourage all students and staff to remain in contact with their trainer/manager to seek support and guidance. If you have any questions or would like to know more about the steps we are taking to protect our clients, students and our team please contact us at any time on 1300 885 680 or email us at enquiries@novaskill.com.au
