CPC20211 Certificate II in Construction Pathways
For those who enjoy working with tools and building things from scratch, this qualification allows students to discover the basics of building and construction. Trade career outcomes are predominantly achieved through an Australian Apprenticeship and this qualification allows for inclusion of skills suited for entry to occupations, such as joinery and shopfitting as well as carpentry, bricklaying and other occupations in general construction.
Potential career outcomes
Upon successful completion of the qualification, career pathways may include, but are not limited to:
– Builders Labourer
– Trades Assistant
– Construction Assistant
Duration
Students are able to study full time, part time or with an employer as a traineeship for a maximum of 12 months.
Delivery method
This course can be delivered face-to-face in a workshop, or self-paced via partly by correspondence. Please ask for more details.
Work Placement
This qualification requires work placement to give you real life, on-the-job experience and the opportunity to practice what you learn.
Pre-requisites
There are no specific pre-requisites for this course, however students do require a Construction Induction White Card. Please ask for details. Students may be required to undertake an initial pre-enrolment assessment to determine their suitability for this level of study.

Friendly support, advice and assistance is provided by our teaching staff and Student Services Division to all students.
Units of Competency
Students complete 12 units.

Pathways
Graduates may choose to go onto study CPC30211 Certificate III in Carpentry or a range of other Certificate III or IV qualifications.*Novaskill may not offer these qualifications.
