CHC43121 Certificate IV in Disability Support

– Disability Support Officer
– Care Service Team Leader

Units of Competency

Students complete 10 units.

Delivery

This course can be delivered online, face-to-face in a classroom, self-paced via correspondence, or as a combination of both. Please ask for more details.

Duration

Students are able to study full time, part time or with an employer as a traineeship for a maximum of 24 months.

Work Placement

This qualification requires a minimum of 60 hours of work placement to give students real life, on-the-job experience and the opportunity to practice what you learn.

Pre-requisites

To enrol in this course a student must have completed one of the following:

  • CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability), OR
  • Completion of: CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability), OR
  • Completion of: CHC30408 Certificate III in Disability PLUS the CHCSS00125 Entry to Certificate IV in Disability Support Skill Set.

Students must hold a current Australian Federal Police Check, Working with Children Clearance and valid First Aid Certificate. Please ask for more details. Students are required to undertake an initial pre-enrolment assessment to determine their suitability for this level of study.

Pathways

Graduates may choose to further their study through enrolment in CHC52021 Diploma of Community Services or other related qualifications. *Novaskill may not offer these qualifications.
