Novaskill has partnered with Northern Beaches Council to offer an exciting Procurement Traineeship opportunity within their Finance Procurement team.

The Opportunity

Novaskill is proud to partner with Northern Beaches Council to offer a Procurement Traineeship – a fantastic opportunity to launch your career in local government procurement while gaining hands-on experience and ongoing professional support.

Over the course of your traineeship, you will work within the Procurement team at Council’s Dee Why location while undertaking a Certificate IV in Procurement & Contracting. This structured pathway combines formal study with practical, on-the-job learning to equip you with valuable skills in purchasing, tendering and supply chain management.

The Role

  • Undertake structured training and on-the-job development in local government procurement processes
  • Learn all aspects of purchasing, tendering and supply chain management
  • Gain working knowledge of Council’s corporate systems, including TechnologyOne CiA Supply Chain Management
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Procurement team
  • Assist with the development of procurement documentation and support materials
  • Support electronic records management and ensure accurate registration of business correspondence
  • Develop strong stakeholder communication and interpersonal skills
  • Build report writing capability and professional documentation skills

This is a 35-hour per week traineeship, paid at award wage.
