Novaskill, in partnership with Northern Beaches Council, is offering a full-time, paid traineeship at the beautiful Roundhouse Children’s Centre. You’ll work alongside a passionate team, receive dedicated mentoring and finish with a CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.
About the Role
As a Diploma trainee, you’ll be part of a supportive team while gaining hands-on leadership experience in a high-quality early learning environment. Your day-to-day will include:
- Supporting and leading play-based learning for children aged 0–6
- Helping to plan and implement programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
- Building strong and respectful relationships with children and families
- Collaborating with experienced educators and stepping into leadership opportunities
- Growing your skills in planning, observation and teamwork
Learning Outcomes
- Implement creative play strategies for the inclusion of all children
- Design educational programs that nurture creativity and establish a safe learning environment for all
- Work in partnership with families to provide appropriate education and for children
- Implement child development theory in play activities and across practices in general

About You
This traineeship is perfect if you already hold a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and are ready to take the next step. You are someone who:

- Wants to expand your professional skills and take on more responsibility
- Enjoys working in a team and communicates well
- Is organised, reliable and ready to learn
To Be Eligible, You Will Need
- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (CHC30121 or equivalent)
- A NSW Working with Children Check
- First Aid Certificate (including Asthma & Anaphylaxis) – can be completed after starting
- NSW Driver Licence (or willingness to obtain)
