The Opportunity –
Novaskill, in partnership with Northern Beaches Council, is offering multiple Early Childhood Traineeship (Diploma) opportunities. This is your chance to gain hands-on experience while receiving on-the-job training, mentoring, and ongoing support to help you reach your career goals and unlock your full potential.
As a trainee, you’ll complete a Diploma in Early Child Education, combining formal training with a Registered Training Organisation and practical experience at one of Northern Beaches Council’s childcare centres.
The Role –
The key focus areas of this role include
- Maintain a sound understanding and comply with the obligations set out in the Family Assistance Law for administering Child Care Subsidy
- Provide timely, effective, and responsive administrative support to the Early Learning Centre team and the wider Children’s Services business unit
- Ensure accurate and up to date record and maintenance and compliance regimes relating to:
- Family and child enrolment records and documentation
- Child attendance records
- Purchasing and debtor maintenance
- Provide accurate advice and assistance to families and other internal customers on the processes and services undertaken by the Children’s Service unit
Learning Outcomes –
- Implement creative play strategies for the inclusion of all children
- Design educational programs that nurture creativity and establish a safe learning environment for all
- Work in partnership with families to provide appropriate education and for children
- Mentor other educators in the workplace
- Implement child development theory in play activities and across practices in general
About You –
- Show a passion for working with children
- Have a strong customer service focus
- Have time management, attention to detail, planning and organisational skills
- Show the ability to work as part of a team and share knowledge
- Current NSW driver’s license
- Working with Children’s Check (or willingness to obtain)
- National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
