What makes you a good coach?

My ability to listen and understand the needs of others. I strive to provide guidance and support, I’m always there to help them achieve their goals, and seeing them succeed at the end is amazing.

How would you describe your coaching style (what can people expect)?

I am supporting and encouraging. I find creating smaller goals makes tasks more achievable and less overwhelming, and helps keep them on track in their progression as they work towards their end goal.

Biggest career achievement (so far)

Supporting people with disabilities to reach their goals. These goals can be life changing for some individuals.

Biggest lesson you have learned in your career?

One important life lesson I’ve learnt in my career is to always be adaptable. Things change, so it’s important to be flexible and be open to new ideas and ways of doing things.

Why do you think VET is so important?

It helps individuals to gain real-life, practical skills and knowledge for their chosen careers and prepares them to enter the workforce.

Hobbies/passions outside of work?

Outside of work I like experimenting in different cooking styles (smoked meats are my favourite).
