CPC20211 – Certificate II in Construction Pathways
Your pathway to a career in the construction industry
Certificate II in Construction Pathways
Develop and learn a diverse range of core entry level construction skills and construction site WHS requirements with a Novaskill Certificate II in Construction Pathways qualification.
This course will equip you with the necessary knowledge to prepare for and sustain effective work within the construction industry.
Get real world skills
The Certificate II in Construction Pathways is an ideal starting point for those looking to gain ‘real world’ skills in the construction industry. This qualification will provide participants with a working knowledge of the primary trade skills required on a construction site (Plumbing excluded) and is an ideal kick start towards an Australian trade qualification.
This qualification has some compulsory requirements needed for completion and offers elective options allowing the participant to select areas of trade skills relevant to industry interests. With this qualification you can reduce the length of your apprenticeship by up to six months.
There are no prerequisites for entry to the Certificate II in Construction, however completion of the general
induction training program specified by the National Code of Practice for Induction Training for Construction Work (SAC 2006) is required before entering a construction work site.
This induction program is covered in CPCCOHS1001A Work safely in the construction industry (commonly referred to as ‘Whitecard’). All students must complete an initial pre-enrolment assessment for literacy and numeracy.
Who is this for?
The Certificate II in Construction Pathways is well suited to those interested in a career in the construction industry and who have limited formal or practical experience in the industry.
