Who is someone that inspires you and why?
Sarina Russo as she inspires people to believe in themselves, to go that extra mile and to become more. Not only is Sarina an international entrepreneur in education, training, recruitment and property. She is recognised globally for her entrepreneurial & leadership achievements. I strongly encourage all female leaders to read all about it in her best-selling business and motivational book, Meet me at the Top! Plus, she is a leader in our industry.
If you could snap your fingers and become an expert in something, what would it be?
Parenting, it is honestly such a beautiful struggle.
What advice would you give to the next generation of female leaders?
Believe in yourself, dream big & keep focused on your goals. Seek a mentor for support or direction, share & celebrate your wins and learn from your experiences.
What social issues/causes are you most passionate about?
Family & housing crisis, mental health and equal employment opportunities.
How do you balance work and life responsibilities?
I believe it is also important to look after myself with regards to exercise & eating well. Also, lots of Berocca and coffee to keep me going when I have been up all night with my kids. I feel most balanced when using a to-do list, so I can visually see that I am make difference by contributing towards my overall daily or monthly goals.
What do you do to turn things around when you’re having a bad day?
I communicate with those who can support me and I reset my daily focus to a to-do list. By visually ticking off the tasks that I have achieved, helps me to look at what I have been able to accomplish. This is how I remind myself that I have done my best with the day at hand. I also like to revisit the little things that I appreciate/have gratitude for and I focus on the positive things that surround me.
What’s something you saw recently that made you smile?
My husband & my sweet little kids. They are growing up so quickly & every day they make my heart glow.
