The ISMAA program has been designed to support you during the first 2 years of your apprenticeship or traineeship. The aim of the program is to support you to become successful in you chosen career
Aamped supply ISMAA Mentors to guide and support you through your apprenticeship Your ISMAA Mentor will support you with, your on-the-job learning, the development of technical skills, Career and industry pathway advice, assistance to resolve issues that may impact your apprenticeship or traineeship, assist you to find appropriate services in your area. This is a confidential free service.
Should you choose to participate, you will be granted FREE access to our APPRENTICE ONLY discussion forum and online resources. This secure section of our website lets you openly and privately discuss any concerns you may have with other Trainees, Apprentices and our experienced Mentors.
What is Industry Specialist Mentoring for Australian Apprentices (ISMAA)?
• Industry Specialist Mentoring for Australian Apprentices (ISMAA) is funded by the Australian Government and provides intensive support to apprentices and trainees in the first two years of their training in industries that are undergoing structural change.
• Industry Specialist Mentoring for Australian Apprentices (ISMAA) complements other Australian Government support for apprentices, trainees and their employers through the Australian Apprenticeships Incentives Program, Trade Support Loans and the Australian Apprenticeship Support Network.
• Industry Specialist Mentoring for Australian Apprentices (ISMAA) is delivered by Service Providers across Australia in major cities as well as rural and regional areas.

The goal is is to increase the retention rates, particularly in the first 24 months of training, in order to improve completion rates and support the supply of skilled workers in industries undergoing structural change. This provides an opportunity to build potential of your apprentice so they’re more likely to successfully complete their apprenticeships and become highly valuable employees.
Furthermore, our services can also involve support to you and your supervises to encourage a positive employment relationship and better support.

Novaskill specialise in Indigenous Cultural Mentoring
The Indigenous Employment Team provides a free mentoring service to our Indigenous Trainees, Apprentices, course participants and employees. The program covers life skills, cross-cultural awareness and employer expectations. This valuable program ensures all linked with Novaskill have the best chance of success in their role. Participation in this program results in increased motivation and a more valuable employee.
