Warehousing Traineeship- Hunter Valley
About the position
Novaskill is a not for profit Group Training Organisation who actively recruit and train employees for a wide variety of businesses throughout Newcastle & The Hunter region. We currently have an opportunity for a Warehousing Trainee to commence immediately in the Mt Thorley area. Our host employer is a well established electric drive haul truck specialist, providing parts, service, and labour to customers in the mining industry.

The role will be busy and varied, and never boring. To thrive in this role, you will need to be a team player with a positive attitude who will do whatever task is assigned to get the job done, and ensure we meet our customers’ expectations regarding delivery and quality. You will contribute to the success of the company by assisting the team with the day-to-day operations including:
- Conducting all duties in a safe manner in accordance with WHS policies and legislation.
- The accurate and timely picking, packing, and dispatching of online orders.
- The unloading of transport and checking of supplier deliveries.
- The organisation and cleanliness of the warehouse and storeroom.
- Liaising with the purchasing team around stock requirements.
- Administrative duties as required.
Who we’re looking for
To be considered for these positions, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Driver’s license and reliable transport essential
- Forklift licence is preferred, however not essential
- Some knowledge and or experience in Warehouse and supply chain logistics
- Ideally live within the local MT Thorley area
