Light Vehicle Mechanic Apprenticeship
An exciting opportunity in the Newcastle region for an existing 3rd Year Mechanic to work hands-on and study a Nationally Recognised Qualification at the same time!
About the position
Our valued Host Employer is looking for an existing 3rd Year Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology Apprentice to continue their Nationally Recognised Qualification while they work, carrying out routine servicing, diagnosing and repairing faults with vehicle suspension, brakes, electrical systems, engines, drivelines, fuel systems and tyres in line with legislative safety requirements.
You will work hands-on with various tools and machinery and utilise up to date techniques to diagnose and repair faults ensuring that the workshop is kept in a clean, safe and professional condition at all times.
You will be an existing 3rd Year Apprentice. You will be reliable, thrive on a challenge and enjoy rolling up your sleeves to get the job done. You will be committed to maintaining a safe working environment, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to take direction and feedback from your Supervisor. You will have an understanding and respect for the safe operation of equipment and machinery and be willing to undergo a National Police Check, and pre-employment medical assessment prior to commencing.
As there may be some travel required, you will also hold a current driver’s licence and reliable transport.
