About the position
Novaskill is a not for profit Group Training Organisation who actively recruit and train employees for a wide variety of businesses throughout Newcastle & The Hunter region. We currently have a Light Automotive Mechanical Apprenticeship position available with the opportunity to start immediately. This position is open for applications from 1st year- 4th year apprentices.
Are you looking for your first step in your career, or maybe looking for a career change- we would love to hear from you! Full training will be provided and an opportunity to gain a Certificate III Light Automotive Mechanical Technology while earning a competitive wage.
As part of your apprenticeship, you will learn how to:
- Communicate with customers
- Repair motor vehicles
- Replace broken or defective vehicle parts
- Test and replace electrical components
- Repair and replace electrical wiring
- Diagnose electrical components for faults
- Use special test equipment
Who we’re looking for
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Driver’s license and reliable transport essential
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Have a passion for the Automotive industry
- Commitment to completing a 4 year term apprenticeship
- Ability to complete pre-employment medical assessment
