About the position
Located in the Newcastle region, our Host Employer was established in 1977 and began as a domestic backyard operation, delivering services such as 4WD maintenance, mechanical repairs and 4WD accessories. Over the last 43 years, the Companies success and growth has promoted it’s owners and staff to accumulate a wealth of knowledge and experience in 4WD sales, mechanical repairs, manufacturing and distribution of parts and accessories.
Working with our host company, we are looking for a motivated individuals with a strong work ethic who is interested in completing a Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade MEM30305. The successful applicant will complete this apprenticeship over 4 years while gaining on-the-job experience.
You will be reliable, thrive on a challenge and enjoy rolling up your sleeves to get the job done. You will be committed to maintaining a safe working environment, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to take direction and feedback from your Supervisor. You will have an understanding and respect for the safe operation of equipment and machinery and be willing to undergo a National Police Check, and Pre-Employment Medical Assessment prior to commencing. As there may be some travel required, you will also hold a current driver’s licence and reliable transport.
