Business Administration Traineeship – Construction

Great opportunity for a recent school leaver looking to establish themselves in a professional, yet relaxed, construction consulting company.

Based in the Ballina area, Novaskill has a unique opportunity for a Business Administration Trainee/Receptionist to join a family oriented and well-established consultancy with excellent prospects for growth and advancement. On offer to the successful applicant is a full-time traineeship incorporating a Certificate III in Business.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a capable front-office junior with excellent communication skills and a professional attitude. You will be the first point of contact within the company so candidates will be required to resolve problems and direct enquiries by providing polite and professional assistance in-person, via phone, mail, and e-mail. You will also perform basic administration duties, as well as generally being a helpful and positive presence in the workplace.

On a day-to-day basis, your duties might include (but are not limited to);

  • Providing a professional service as the first point of contact for company services
  • Providing administrative support and undertaking general office duties
  • Manage building inspection bookings within the Outlook diary system
  • Maintain the file management system including regular scanning and updating
  • Manage the stationery supplies for the office

Who we’re looking for (selection criteria)

To be successful you should be well-spoken, polite, and attentive while also being accurate. You should be comfortable with MS Office, general administration tasks, and have good verbal and written communication skills. Most importantly, you should have a strong focus on customer service and the desire to develop a career in business administration.

 

In addition, you will:

  • Be willing to undertake a Certificate III in Business Administration
  • Be able to communicate effectively with a broad audience
  • Be capable at working both as part of a team or independently
  • Have high attention to detail
  • Have a professional and confident manner
