CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support

As Australia’s population grows, so does the need for aged care workers. If you want a career with excellent job prospects, look no further. Aged care workers make a real difference! Offering personal, physical and emotional support to those living in either in residential, home or community based environments. Aged care workers are often considered heroes in disguise as the strive to empower the elderly, and ensure they enjoy their lives with dignity.

Upon successful completion of the qualification, career options may include;

• Care Service Team Leader

Duration

Students are able to study full time, part time or with an employer as a traineeship for a maximum of 24 months.

Delivery method

This course can be delivered face-to-face in a classroom, self-paced via correspondence, part online or as a combination. Please ask for more details.

Work Placement

This qualification requires a minimum of 120 hours of work placement to give students real life, on-the-job experience and the opportunity to practice what you learn.

Pre-requisites

There are no specific pre-requisites for this course, however students must hold a current Australian Federal Police Check, Working with Children Clearance and valid First Aid Certificate. Please ask for more details. Students may be required to undertake an initial pre-enrolment assessment to determine their suitability for this level of study.

Students complete 18 units.
