Who is this for?

The Certificate IV in Ageing Support was developed for people who have completed at least 120 hours of work placement or are working in direct care within the aged care industry and require additional formal qualifications as an advanced patient care assistant.

Students must undertake an initial pre-enrolment assessment to determine their suitability for this level of study. International students require IELTS 5.5 (min) or equivalent.

STUDY OPTIONS

  • 6 months full time classroom based
  • Part time courses available
  • Traineeship – 24 months by direct entry
  • – 18 months if trainee holds Certificate III
    (or until relevant competency is achieved)

Training and Assessment is available by mixed mode, combining online theory with face-to-face seminars and classroom courses either one day per week or per fortnight. See website for further details.
